Ludwik Wodzi\u0144ski, curate of the place and Deacon [for.?] the Roman Catholic Parish on the date noted above. Written in this Book of Baptisms, these events were from the document presented from there.<\/div><\/div><\/li><li><div align=\"left\"><div align=\"left\">Removed?] 14 August 1878 Number 84<\/div><\/div><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Jakub was born in Tulig\u0142owy (Przemy\u015bl Kreis), although his family lived in Nienadowa in the Dubiecko parish (Sanok Kreis).  In the middle of Tulig\u0142owy stands Parafia pw. \u015awi\u0119tego Miko\u0142aja Biskupa (Parish of St. Nicholas, Bishop), one of the most visited Marian shrines in Poland.  The main altar of the church includes a 15th century painting of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  Jakub&#8217;s mother was most likely visiting this shrine when Jakub was born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The record includes a note that I think states: &#8220;removed 14 August 1878 Number 84&#8221;.  This may indicate that my grandfather moved to a new house on 14 August 1878.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the participants are listed with an occupation of <em>hortulanus<\/em> &#8211; gardener.&nbsp; A <em>hortulanus<\/em> farmed a very small plot of land, probably only enough to supply the needs of their own families.&nbsp; The Godmother, Maria Poloczni, is listed as <em>cmethonifsa<\/em>, and B\u0142a\u017cej Wajda is listed as <em>cmethonis<\/em>, indicating that these people operated full-sized farms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the first Baptismal Record I&#8217;ve seen that listed people &#8220;standing by,&#8221;&nbsp; a statement that I don&#8217;t completely understand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">Copyright \u00a9 2007-2019 by Stephen J.
