Trętowo Mazanięta   On the 13th day of August 1797, I [Adam Zabielski, Vicar of the Parish Church in Pałuki] baptized an infant with the name Bartłomiej, son of the legally married couple, the Nobles Stanisław and Franciszka Trętowski.  The Godparents were His Honor Tomasz Susicki, [cup bearer of Parnassus?] and the Noble Klara Trętowska, an unmarried woman.

Bartłomiej Trętowski was the father-in-law of Józef Chodkowski, my 2nd cousin 4X removed.  I have no idea what “Pocillator Parnasiensis” means, but literally it seems to translate as “cupbearer of Parnassus”.  Since Tomasz Susicki is called “Magnificus” in this record, his occupation may be an official of the court.  This record does not provide the maiden name of the mother, but that information can be found in other records.

No 10  Trętowo Mazanięta and Osyski

In the year one-thousand eight-hundred twenty-two on the twenty-ninth day of the month of September at the hour of three in the afternoon, before Us, the Pastor of Pałuki and the Civil Registrar of the Pałuki Gmina, Przasnysz Obwód in the Płock Voivodeship, there appeared the well-born Bartłomiej Trętowski, an unmarried man, twenty-five years of age according to a certificate excerpted from the books of the Pałuki church by Us, son of Stanisław and the deceased Franciszka Trętowski settled on a part of Trętowo Mazanięta.  There also appeared Tekla Długołęcka, an unmarried woman, twenty-one years of age according to a certificate excerpted from the books of the Pałuki parish by Us, daughter of the deceased Franciszek Długolęcki and Marianna née Suwińska, residing in Osyski with her sister.  The parties who appeared demand that we proceed with the celebration of the wedding they have arranged between them, the announcement of which was published before the main doors of our District House, that is the first on the fifteenth day and the second on the twenty-second day of the month of September in this same year.  When no obstacle to the said marriage arose, we conveyed the mentioned documents in which it is shown that the formalities required by law were satisfied.  Acquiescing to the aforementioned request, after reading to the parties and witnesses all the aforementioned papers, and also Section Six of the Napoleonic Code regarding marriage, we asked the future husband and future wife whether they wished to join with each other, and when each of them responded separately that such is their wish, we state in the name of the law that Bartłomiej Trętowski and Tekla Długołęcka are joined in a marital union.  All of this we recorded in the presence of Augustyn Burzyński twenty-seven years of age, Jan Kalinowski seventy-five years of age, Jan Stylakiewicz fifty years of age, and Rafał Kalinowski thirty-one years of age, church servants residing in Pałuki, which was read aloud to the declarants and signed by Us.  The declarants do not know how to write.

This happened in Pałuki on the eleventh / twenty-third day of November in the year one-thousand eight-hundred forty-two at the hour of two in the afternoon. We make it known that in the presence of witnesses the well-born Ludwik Sosnowski, forty-two years of age from Radzieje Wity, and Ignacy Bartołd, fifty years of age, both owners of parts [of the village] and residing in Klonowo, on this day a religious marriage was contracted between the unmarried man, the well-born Józef Chodkowski, twenty-four years of age, son of the married couple Mikołaj and Antonina née Pajewska Chodkowski, owners of a part [of the village] in Klonowo, born in Mosaki Rukle and now residing with his parents in Klonowo, and the unmarried girl, Marianna Ludwika Trętowska, nineteen years of age, daughter of the married couple Bartłomiej and Tekla née Długołęcka Trętowski, owners of a part [of the village], born in Osyski and now residing with her parents in Trętowo Mazanięta. This wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns announced in the parish church in Pałuki on the eleventh / twenty-third and eighteenth / thirtieth day of October, and the twenty-fifth day of October / sixth day of November in this same year. No impediment to the marriage arose. Consent of the parents was made. The newlyweds stated that a premarital agreement had been made by the Notary Tadeusz Niski on the twenty-ninth day of October / tenth day of November in this same year. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and was signed by Us, whereas the declarants do not know how to write.

     This happened in Pałuki on the first / thirteenth day of December in the year one-thousand eight-hundred fifty-one at the hour of three in the afternoon.  There appeared Jakub Milewski, thirty-four years of age, and Mikołaj Chodkowski, fifty-two years of age, owners of parts [of the village] and residing in Klonowo, and they stated that in this village on the day before yesterday at the hour of seven at night, [Wincenty Józef] Milewski died, four years old, born in Klonowo son of Jakub and Franciszka née Suwińska.  After visual confirmation of the death of Wincenty, this document was read aloud to the declarants and because they do not know how to write, was signed by Us alone.

Józef Milewski was the nephew of the husband of my 2nd cousin 4X removed, Marianna Chodkowska. Although the clerk stated that this was the death record of Wincenty, this record must have recorded the death of Józef Milewski, not Wincenty Milewski.  Wincenty died on 15 Jan 1853. The only child of Jakub Milewska and Franciszka Suwińska who was the correct age at the time of this death was Józef.
