On the 21st of February [1816], I, [Pawel Ząbzrewski, Clergyman of the Cathedral in Płock and the College in Pultusk, Pastor of Karniewo], three banns having been published previously, having been preceded by an examination, and with no Canonical or Civil impediment having been discovered, blessed a marriage between the Nobles Jakub Chodkowski of the village Mosaki Rukle in the parish of Krasne, and Teresa Ruszczyńska of the village of [Milewo] Malonki of the parish of Karniewo, both unmarried young people. The witnesses present were the Nobles Jacek Chodkowski and Antoni Ruszczyński.

[Mosaki] Rukle. This happened in the village of Krasne on the second / fourteenth day of February in the year one-thousand eight-hundred forty-six at the hour of three in the afternoon. There appeared Kajetan Chodkowski, fifty-one years of age and Ksawery Łyszkowski, thirty-one years of age, both owners of the noble parts and residing in Lyszkowo, and they stated that on the day before yesterday at the hour of ten in the morning, Franciszek Chodkowski died in [Mosaki] Rukle at the age of forty-five years, working as a day laborer, son of Chodkowski parents whose names are unknown, widower of the deceased Franciszka née Długołęcka. After visual confirmation of the death of Franciszek, this document was read to the declarants who do not know how to write and was signed by Us.

This record states that the names of Franciszek Chodkowski’s parents were not known. Since Franciszek’s wife was already deceased and two apparently unrelated men from another village reported his death, it is not surprising that the declarants did not know that Franciszek’s parents were Tomasz Chodkowski and Agnieszka née Kuligowska Chodkowska.

Whereupon this death record was read aloud to the declarants and signed by Us because the declarants to this document do not know how to write.

In the year one-thousand eight-hundred nineteen, on the eighteenth day of the month of May at the hour of eight in the afternoon, before Us, the Reverend Mikołaj Riuński, Civil Registrar of the Krasne Gmina in the Płock Voivodeship, Prasznysz Obwód and Municipality, there appeared the well-born Gabriel Obidziński, brother-in-law of the deceased, thirty-nine years of age, and Jacenty [Jacek] Chodkowski, uncle of the deceased, fifty-six years of age, both landowners and residing in Mosaki Rukle, and they informed Us that on the seventeenth day of the month of May in the same year at the hour of ten at night, the well-born Walenty Chodkowski, son of the well-born Tomasz Chodkowski, landowner, already deceased, and the living Agnieszka née Kuligowska Chodkowska, residing in Mosaki Rukle, died at the age of twenty-two years in the home of his mother at number fifteen. Whereupon, because none of the declarants know how to write, this record was signed by Us, the Civil Registrar, and was read aloud at that time.

Whereupon this record of death, inasmuch as the declarants do not know how to write, was read aloud and signed by Us.

This record confirms that Tomasz Chodkowski died after April 1807 and before July 1809 (in fact, he died on about 18 March 1808).
