This happened in Pałuki on the eleventh / twenty-third day of February in the year one-thousand eight-hundred fifty-three at the hour of three in the afternoon. There appeared Mikołaj Chodkowski, owner of a part [of the village] in Klonowo, fifty-eight years of age, and Błażej Lipowski, owner of a part [of the village] in Cyty, fifty-seven years of age, and they stated that on the day before yesterday at the hour of five in the afternoon, Karol Suwiński died, five weeks of age, born in [Pajewo-]Rźyski, son of the married couple Józef and Marianna née Chodkowska Suwiński. After visual confirmation of the death of Karol, this document was read aloud to the declarants and because they do not know how to write, was signed by Us alone.
