The Birth and Baptism of Catharina Seng – 1847

Catharina Seng, daughter of Philipp Seng and his wife Elisabetha Lather, was born on 05 May 1847. She was baptized in the Evangelical Church in Kirtorf, Alsfeld Kreis, Hesse-Darmstadt (now Germany) on 13 May 1847.

72. Catharina, Philipp Seng’s Daughter.

1847.

On the morning of the fifth of May in the year of the Lord eighteen-hundred forty-seven, between eight and nine o’clock, after a credible report, the eighth child and third daughter was born to Philipp Seng, citizen and day laborer here, and his wife Elisabetha née Lather, which on the thirteenth of the same month was baptized, where she was given the name “Catharina”.
The sponsor was: Catharina Seng, eldest daughter of Johannes Seng [one word?] at Hattenbach in Kurhesse, Hersfeld Kreis / absent / in whose place the midwife Christina Rullmann stood in and signed this document next to the father of the child and me the chaplain who performed the baptism.
