The Death and Burial of Johann Jacob Lather – 1748

Johann Jacob Lather, son of Andreas Lather and his second wife Anna Margaretha Riem, died on 15 Feb 1748. He was buried at the Evangelical Church in Kirtorf, Alsfeld Kreis, Hesse-Darmstadt (now Germany) on 18 Feb 1748.

Johann Jacob Lather, little son of Andreas Lather citizen and baker here, died in the middle of the day between 12 and 1 o’clock on the 15th of February [1748] of pneumonia, and was given a Christian burial on the 18th of February. His age was 5 quarters of a year and 3 weeks.
