On 30 May 1737, Johann Gerhard Lather, son of Andreas Lather and Elisabetha Catharina Daub, was born in Kirtorf, Alsfeld Kreis, Hessen-Darmstadt (now Germany). He was baptized in the parish church in Kirtorf, Alsfeld Kreis, Hessen-Darmstadt (now Germany) on 31 May 1737.

In the middle of the day on the 30th of May  between 10 and 11 o’clock, Johann Gerhard was born, the legitimate little son of Andreas Lather, citizen and baker here, and Elisabetha Catharina née Daub. On the 31st of the same month he was brought for baptism by Johann Gerhard Plantz, son of the deceased honorable Johann Reinhard Plantz.
