On 04 Feb 1839, Elisabetha Catharina Lather, daughter of Balthasar Lather and Elisabetha Margaretha Lather, was born in Kirtorf, Alsfeld Kreis, Hesse-Darmstadt (now Germany). She was baptized in the parish church in Kirtorf, Alsfeld Kreis, Hesse-Darmstadt (now Germany) on 17 Feb 1839.

Elisabetha Catharina, Daughter of Balthasar Lather

Between four and five o’clock in the morning of February fourth in the year of the Lord eighteen-hundred thirty-nine, after a credible report, the second child and second daughter was born to Balthasar Lather, citizen and tailor here, and his wife Elisabetha née Lather and, on the seventeenth of the same month, the child was baptized and given the name “Elisabetha Catharina”.

 The sponsors were:

 1) Elisabetha Lather, eldest daughter of Georg Lather,
 2) Elisabetha Catharina Lather, eldest daughter of Philipp Lather, both from here, in whose place, because of [one word?] of their mothers, both [one word?] Helena stood in their place

who have signed the present document next to the father of the child and the chaplain who performed the baptism.
