B[aptism of] [Jean] B[aptiste] [F]ortin

On the tenth of august 1708 by me, the undersigned priest performing the functions of pastor was baptized Jean Baptiste Fortin, son of Eustache Fortin and Louise Cloutier his wife, born on this same day. The Godparents were Jean Baptiste Gamache and Marianne Fortin.

This record can be found as image 44/948 in the Québec Vital Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1967 on Ancestry.com as part of the records for Cap-St-Ignace 1679-1808. The record appears on page 2.

The records for Cap St. Ignace 1679-1808 includes a varied collection of record books, including civil copies and original parish registers. This record appears to be from the original parish register since it includes the original signatures of the priest and of Eustache Fortin.
