Bap[tism] of Julien Fortin

In the year one-thousand six-hundred ninety-seven by me, the undersigned priest providing the functions of the pastor of this parish was baptized Julien, born the thirtieth of the month of November, son of Charles Fortin and Sainte Cloutier his wife. The Godfather was Jean Franí§ois Belanger and the Godmother was Marie Gertrude Hudon wife of Pierre Fortin who have declared that they do not know how to write or sign as required by law .  Francheville, Mis[sionary] Pr[iest]

This record does not state the date of the baptism. However, since the birth occurred on 30 Nov 1697, the baptism probably occurred between 30 Nov 1697 and 19 Dec 1679, the next recorded date of baptism.

This record can be found as image 19/948 in the Québec Vital Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1967 on Ancestry.com as part of the records for Cap-St-Ignace 1679-1808. The record appears on recto folio 18.
