Everything is clear in hindsight! I'm sure both of you are correct! Perhaps I should start preparing a glossary of the Latin terms and abbreviations I find in these records from Poland. I haven't been able to find a good reference to help translate these records. Jonathan D. Shea and William F. Hoffman are preparing a volume of "In their Words: A Genealogist's Translation Guide to Polish, German, Latin and Russian Documents" to address documents in Latin, but I don't know when it is scheduled for publication.
