Thanks for your comments, Tom! I hadn't seen Fred and Jan for many years while I was in college and beginning my career, but for the last few years of their lives I visited them about once a year. Fred never let me leave the house until I had heard many stories about the family, and Jan never let me leave the house without a full stomach! When I saw Fred in the summer of 2004, I didn't realize that it would be the last time I would see him. When I spoke with Jan in February 2005, I knew it might be the last time I would be able to speak with her.

Thank you for the wonderful memories of Fred and Jan, I knew them back in the early seventies when I was in college and close with their daughter Diane. The flood of memories comes back like it was yesterday espescialy hearing Jan tell her story in her words. They were wonderful people who I will never forget. Thank you again,
