The Birth and Baptism of Józef Niedziałkowski
When I posted the Descendants of Tomasz Niedziałkowski, I noticed that my grandfather’s brother Józef married twice, both times he was married in Trelkowo, and that Trelkowo appears to have been in Prussia.
The only document I have for Józef if his Birth and Baptismal Record. Józef’s record is number 42, the record on the bottom half of the page below.

This happened in the village of Szwelice on the 4th / 16th day of May 1897 at one o’clock in the afternoon. Teofil Niedziałkowski appeared in person, ___ owner _____ part _____ age 35, residing in Pomoski, in the presence of Ludwik Niedziałkowski, ______ age 52, and _____ Mossakowski, age 44, residing in Pomoski and he presented to us a child of the male sex, stating that it was born in Pomoski on the 23rd of April / 5th day of May of the current year, at ten o’clock in the evening of his lawful wife Ksawera born Zygmuntowicz, age 20. At Holy Baptism performed on this date by Father Władysław Sędzicki, Assistant Pastor of this place, this child was given the name of Józef, and his godparents were Józef Nosarzewski and Joanna his wife. This document was read to the declarant and the illiterate witnesses, and signed by us alone -

I still haven’t figured out some of the Russian, but (good news), translating this document helped me figure out some of the tricky parts of the Birth and Baptismal Record for Franciszek Niedziałkowski because the handwriting was more legible on Józef’s record. I’ll have to go back and look at Franciszek’s document again.
However, this isn’t all the information on this document. There are notes on the left side of the document in the margin that is normally left blank.
