This happened in Pałuki on the seventeenth / twenty-ninth day of June in the year one-thousand eight-hundred fifty-three at the hour of twelve noon. There appeared Jakub Milewski, owner of a part [of the village] and residing in Klonowo, thirty years of age, in the presence of Józef Suwiński from Rzyski, twenty-six years of age, and Mikołaj Chodkowski from Klonowo, sixty years of age, owners of parts [of the village], and he showed Us a child of the male sex born in this village on the day before yesterday at the hour of eleven before noon of his wife Franciszka née Suwińska, twenty-nine years of age. To this child at Holy Baptism performed on this day was given the name Jan, and his Godparents were the afore-mentioned Józef Suwiński and Marianna Suwińska. This document was read aloud to the declarant and witnesses and, because they do not know how to write, it was signed only by Us.
[signed] The Reverend Ksawery Nałęcz, Pastor of Pałuki
